Learning about inclusive peace processes

On July 13-14 in Bologna, Italy, Joyce Neu discussed inclusive peace processes with 40 participants from the Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Australia, and North America at the International Peace & Security Institute’s annual Bologna Symposium on conflict resolution.  The first day was spent on different stages of peace processes and on official and unofficial actors, including civil society and women.  On the second day, the participants were divided into small groups and tasked with designing a peace process for the fictional country of Gloccamora that would include recommending which actors would be involved at which stages of the process.
