Training the next generation of peacemakers

Joyce Neu, who serves on the board of advisors for the International Peace & Security Institute, took part in IPSI’s third summer conflict resolution symposium in Bologna.  On June 25 and 26, Joyce gave a talk on international mediation theory and conducted a simulation for the 50 participants from over 30 countries on designing a mediation strategy.  The month-long symposium offers participants the opportunity to interact with speakers informally over lunches and dinners, to meet others from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences all of whom share an interest in the peaceful resolution of conflict, and to experience a beautiful historic city.
